Confused By All the Options?

Choosing where to go for your beach get away should be easy. But it’s not…you come to us because trying to book on your own is downright confusing!

A million pretty pictures, searches for direct flights that end up with stops in Toronto, extra charges for carry-on, full payment when I click ‘buy’, and a multitude of other decisions to make can leave us more stressed than calling the phone company.

That’s where we come in – we’ll help navigate the options and leave you feeling ready to relax by the pool with your favourite beverage.

AND NOW SUNWING AND WESTJET VACATIONS ARE THE SAME?
 

It’s been in the news for a while and this year, they’ve officially joined forces. Well….yes, but not really!

This is important news for those of us who fly from Calgary because they have been the only two tour operators to the south that have had direct flights since the pandemic.

You won’t see anymore Sunwing planes but you may still be on a Sunwing vacation. They’ll be using Westjet planes but sometimes on flights not available to the public.

 

AREN’T THE RULES THE SAME?

One would think so but it’s not that simple.

Let’s look at carry-on and checked luggage.

If you’re on a Sunwing vacation package, you’ll have included checked luggage but pay for carry-on.

If you’re on a Westjet package, you’ll have included carry-on but pay for your checked bag.

MORE CONFUSION
Is booking your seat important to you?  We can always do that right away with a Westjet Vacation package but not necessarily if it’s a Sunwing package.

Really?  It’s true.  With the switch, we don’t always get the confirmation codes for the flights so we have to wait until they’re released!

Flying with kids?  On Westjet, they’ll do complimentary family seating for those traveling with children under 14. But with Sunwing, you’ll pay – even if you’re flying on the same plane as those booked with Westjet Vacations!

If you haven’t given up on the idea of getting away after reading all this confusing information, we’ll sort through all the information and make sure you always have the following:

  • Direct flights, unless you know they aren’t
  • Included shared transfers and we offer private ones
  • You’ll know about luggage rules
  • You’ll know about seat selection
  • You’ll only have to do deposits if travelling more than 45 days in advance, not the full payment
  • We’ll talk about insurance
  • We’ll be there for you!
